Piano and Orchestra Concert at the Victor Villegas Auditorium in Murcia

The Victor Villegas Auditorium is getting ready to host an extraordinary event that will delight classical music enthusiasts. A unique evening where some of the most outstanding international pianists will join the prestigious Symphony Orchestra of the Region of Murcia, under the baton of conductor Félix Ardanaz, to perform three of the most emblematic pieces in the history of music: the piano concertos by Mozart, Beethoven, and Saint-Saëns. It is an honor to present Alexandra Segal, Manos Kitsikopoulos, and Olena Miso, winners of different editions of the International Piano Competition Region of Murcia, who will take the audience on an exciting journey through musical mastery.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart – Piano Concerto No. 24 in C minor, K. 491: A masterpiece by the Austrian genius, this concerto stands out for its emotional depth and melodic richness. With movements ranging from melancholy to exuberance, Mozart invites us to immerse ourselves in a world of contrasts and beauty.

Ludwig van Beethoven – Piano Concerto No. 1 in C major, Op. 15: Beethoven’s first foray into the genre of the piano concerto, this work is a testament to his creative genius and musical audacity. With vigorous passages and moments of great intimacy, Beethoven shows us his ability to reinvent classical forms and transcend the limits of his time.

Camille Saint-Saëns – Piano Concerto No. 2 in G minor, Op. 22: A virtuosic and colorful work, Saint-Saëns’ concerto transports us to a world of fantasy and exoticism. With its technical brilliance and harmonic richness, this piece invites us to explore the limits of imagination and creativity.

The Symphony Orchestra of the Region of Murcia, recognized for its artistic excellence and interpretative versatility, is a reference in the Spanish musical panorama. Félix Ardanaz, a director of renowned prestige, has collaborated with some of the world’s most important orchestras. Félix Ardanaz develops intense international activity as a conductor, both in the symphonic and operatic fields.
